Coach Orlando Ortiz

I graduated from California State University, Northridge on May 2018 earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology. I made the dean’s list every semester and I enjoyed being a part of a sport psychology club that analyzed how well athlete’s performed in various settings. I have loved sports since I was a child and decided to not only play it, but specialize in psychological techniques to help athletes reach optimal performance. I am very passionate in becoming a Sport Psychologist in the near future and working with children in a sport related setting only makes my passion grow stronger.

I joined the military (Army) while I was still in high school at the age of 17. I have served 6 years and has taught me many important principles such as discipline, respect, and patience. All of these values are extremely important in daily life and I make sure to implement them when coaching your children.

On my off time, I am usually playing soccer in a competitive league or with friends. A majority of my time also involves the gym. I love to workout and preach the importance of exercise and nutrition. I was a starting point guard on my high school basketball team, a short stop and center fielder in youth baseball, and a left back in the various soccer teams that I’ve been a part of. I am eager to teach your children the knowledge I have to offer and make their experience fun and educational!
