Coach Michael Spicer

Coach Michael Spicer is unique.

Yes, “Coach Mike” is unusually strong, has a powerful physique, is talented and has achieved progressively exceptional athletic accomplishments. No doubt, Coach Mike also deeply values practice and hard work. But what makes Coach Mike unique is the way in which he leads, connects with and inspires Coach Derek’s [CDI’s] students, teams, co-workers, parents and community members. When you meet Coach Mike, you’ll see why he has an instant rapport with the kids!

Coach Mike’s athletic career is lined with impressive successes and accomplishments. His high school career earned him first team All-State performer.

While in college, Coach Mike accomplished what few others have by successfully muscling through a 400-pound power clean! While Coach Mike credits his then Strength Coach Tobias Jacobi for this incredible feat, we all know Coach Mike encompasses the perfect storm of awesome: power, commitment and attitude!
